Music workshops devoted to the work of the Austrian composer Peter Ablinger

June 17-21, 2013

Gimnazjum nr 49 im. Stefana Starzyńskiego in Warsaw

It's true, the piano can talk! The instrument is assisted by a computer that presses the appropriate key combinations with surgical precision. The recording of the human voice is subjected to computer analysis and played back not with a loudspeaker, but with piano strings. This creates the impression of speech. We are able to distinguish the age and gender of the speaker, their mood and even understand single phrases of the text.

Organizer: Austrian Cultural Forum, „Harmonies and noises” Music Foundation, Gimnazjum nr 49 im. Stefana Starzyńskiego in Warsaw
